So what happens when two mixed people get married? Are their children mixed also? Or a new hybrid of barackian children who are going to take over the world? just a thought...

On the Eve of Inauguration

As a mixed person, these next two weeks seem like the last of an era. As of January 20th, 2009, Barack Obama will be the U.S. president and the way the world sees us will completely change. Of course, this isn't totally due to his election. Gap and United Colors of Bennetton ads have helped expose people to racially mixed people, movies like "Things We Lost In The Fire" showcase mixed race families and stars like Halle Berry and Alicia Keys have helped increase worldwide knowledge and recognition of our faces. But now a president who's mixed? I can't help but think we're entering into a brand new age. I'm excited and nervous and hopeful. I hope I live to see the day when race no longer matters. As cheesy as it sounds :-)
